Educational Resources is an all encompassing cooperative which includes a variety of resources and services that support school libraries and digital literacies in all content areas.

What is the Educational Resources Cooperative?

The Educational Resources Cooperative includes a variety of resources and services that support school libraries and digital literacies in all content areas.The Educational Resouces Cooperative Core Package provides the following of products and services:

PrepStep - Resources for self-guided skill building, supplemental development materials, as well as vital tools for career preparation and workforce readiness.

Read It - Reading materials adapted on a variety of subjects adapted for English language learners, students with special needs, and other students who benefit from reading content at a lower difficulty level.

Biography Reference Center - Collection of full-text biographies and unique narrative biographies.

Flipster (Ladybug, Ladybug en Español, Spider, Faces, Muse) - Digital magazines for early childhood, intermediate and secondary grades.

Points of View Reference Center - Resources that present multiple sides of an issue and can help students assess and develop persuasive arguments and essays, better understand controversial issues and develop analytical thinking skills.

Novelist Plus - Comprehensive source of information about books that includes expert recommendations, reviews, articles, lists, and more.

  • Attendance at the regional Library Resource Roundup at no cost to members (9/23/2016)

  • Attendance at the PK-16 EduCamp event at a reduced cost of $50 (10/21/2016)

  • Selected professional development workshops at no cost to members (unlimited participation)

  • Access to Digital Citizenship curriculum for grades 3-5, 6-8 and high school, and Digital Citizenship online course for educators 

Cost: $2.71 x ADA (minimum $600 per district)

Living Science (Included in core package)

  

 
Living Science materials provided to teachers in member school districts (school districts that subscribe to the Living Science Materials program) include over 100 living specimens! Small mammals (hamsters, rats, mice and gerbils), non-poisonous snakes, fish, live frogs, plants, flower and vegetable seeds, micro-organisms, preserved specimen, prepared petri dishes and de-ionized water may be ordered by any teacher in participating districts at no cost to the teacher!
