Short Bios

    Susanna Clavello Garza

After leaving Mexico City where she worked as a general physician, Susanna moved to San Antonio, TX where she started a second career as an educator. Passionate about the possibilities that technology opens to all individuals and the importance of preparing students for their future, she supports schools in fulfilling their vision of teaching and learning in the digital age. In her role as the Coordinator of Digital Age Learning, she oversees innovative digital resources and instructional technology programs, and presents at regional and state conferences.

Donald Hawkins is an Educational Specialist with Region 20, in the department of Digital Age Learning and Instructional Technology.  In this role Donald facilitates aspects of professional development, instructional design and media development.  As an advocated of mobile learning tools, Donald encourages educators to expand the use of  dynamic instructional resources to include a wide range of contexts.  Donald Hawkins is a Certified Apple Trainer and currently holds a Masters Degree in the Management of Technology from the College of Business at The University of Texas, San Antonio.

Adrian Gutierrez

Adrian began as a Pre-K teacher in Austin, TX.  He has since taught all over the United States, both as a classroom teacher, trainer, and as a featured presenter.  He has been an English teacher, Vice Principal and Director of Instructional Technology.  Currently, he works as an Educational Specialist for a regional service center in San Antonio, TX.  He specializes in technology training, topics, which span from robotics, and classroom technologies to curriculum design. Outside of work Adrian enjoys CrossFit, playing music and writing poetry, no joke, poetry.

Susan F. Reeves was formerly a member of the North East ISD Technology Services Department and served as an Instructional Technology Specialist from 2004-2013 and a second grade teacher at Larkspur Elementary from 2000-2004. Prior to moving to Texas, Mrs. Reeves lived in New Jersey for 15 years. She is a graduate of the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia, a Google Certified Teacher, a Discovery Educator Network Star Discovery Educator and an Edmodo Certified Trainer.

Marty Rossi

Martha Rossi (her friends call her Marty) is charged with promoting and supporting librarians and library services throughout the 17 counties served by ESC-20.  In her role as Project Manager, she enjoys managing the integration and administration of statewide resource programs for K-12 schools. She started her career as a database administrator and has worked in various arenas such as hospitality, education, and health care. Marty has worked in school libraries at the secondary level and served as a medical library director. She holds a BA in Modern Languages from Beloit College and a Master's degree in Information Science from the University of North Texas.  She is an active member and participant in the Texas Library Association and the Texas Association of School Library Administrators.      

Ann Vyoral

Ann Vyoral (say Veer-all) supports the use and integration of statewide online resources in K-12 schools.  She has almost 30 years of experience in education as a classroom teacher and library media specialist, 20 of them in Rockport, Texas.  Ann, a digital immigrant, feels that her role is making online resources easily accessible for all teachers and students.  Growing up in West Virginia, she claimed dual Texas citizenship since both of her parents were native Texans. She received her BA in English and Speech Education from Marshall University, and a Master’s degree in Library Science from Sam Houston State University.  Although "digital resources" is now part of her title, Ann confesses that her favorite activity is still turning the pages of a book.
